A Message from ITM Components Ltd on COVID-19
As we continue to receive the unsettling news regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact around the world, we want to keep you up-to-date on the current state of our operations.
Fortunately, there have been no confirmed cases among our staff or in the immediate area of our business. However, cases have been increasing in the UK and Government experts advise early intervention is the best option to limit the spread.
First and foremost, we want to ensure the health and well-being of our dedicated team who will continue to work hard each day for as long as practical to deliver you with the best customer service and dispatch your orders as quickly as we are able.
We are taking preventative measures to ensure a safe and clean work environment for our team and reducing the amount of physical contact they have with customers, delivery drivers, visitors and other staff in adjacent offices to the absolute minimum.
Our policy is to adopt best practices advised by Government and National Health officials by minimizing face-to-face exposure and by limiting international and domestic travel.
Until advised it is safe to do so, our staff will not be making visits Suppliers or Customer sites or attend events such as courses and exhibitions.
We will continue working with our suppliers and our logistics partners to keep our inventory moving and lead times as low as practical. However, we do expect Supplier lead times to significantly extend as the infection progresses around the globe and different restrictions are placed on movement and logistics. The situation is moving very fast and we are reviewing our operations daily.
We recognize the many challenges COVID-19 now creates for our staff, customers, suppliers and logistics partners. Our policies are based on Government advice and expert scientific knowledge which we will follow until the COVID-19 outbreak eases.
