  • Xtensys universal console switch is a powerful and flexible switch that can be implemented and adapted to suit both simple and complex computing environments. The modular architecture makes any necessary cascading and expansion to accommodate more units simple and easy. Xtensys systems are designed to support CATx cabling and are comprised of three pieces: the switch, a micro transmitter, and a micro receiver. The system will automatically detect when the transmitters and receivers are connected, measure the distance of the CPU to the kvm user station, and adjust the video to obtain maximum clarity.

Xtensys supports VGA resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 for up to 1000 feet and includes a local port for quick access with a nearby kvm station. Units vary in size and can come in the following range of combinations and sizes:

    0, 2, 4, 8, 12, or 16 users and 4, 8, 16, 32, 48, or 64 CPUs

The switch allows users at a kvm station to access any computer connected to the system. The built-in OSD and hot-key systems make selecting and switching between computers easy with the use of a keyboard. The receiver will support connection of either a PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse. For the ultimate in connection flexibility, the XTR-14 receiver permits a single kvm station to connect to a kvm port on four different Xtensys switches, four standalone servers/computers, or a combination of Xtensys switches and standalone servers/computers.
