FireNEX™-uLINK-10G-EX provides the world’s first USB-C to USB-C female active extension solution for up to 4 meters (13.1 ft.). Finding a right USB-C extension cable that is long enough while keeping good signal integrity for 10Gbps data rate is challenging, since most of USB-C extension cables are passive and short. FireNEX™-uLINK-10G-EX provides user a brand new experience with USB-C extension: users can connect with their own USB-C cable or tethered USB-C device to form a maximum 6 meters connection without sacrificing the signal integrity.

FireNEX™-uLINK-10G-EX supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps data rate while maintaining the full backward compatibility with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1. It also supports Display 1.4a in display alt mode which allows users to extend a USB-C dock station connected with two 4K display monitors working at the same time. It works with USB PD 3.0, enabling charging from host to device or device to host up to 30W at 20V/1.5A power profile.

Q: Can FireNEX™-uLINK-10GEX support DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP Alt Mode)?

A: Yes, FireNEX™-uLINK-10G-EX supports DisplayPort over USB-C. It allow you connect video source and display device to each other via their USB-C port while transfer USB 3.2 10Gbps data at the same time. Please make sure USB-C port on your host and device support DisplayPort over USB-C.

Q: Is FireNEX™-uLINK-10GEX backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1?

A: Yes, FireNEX™-uLINK-10G-EX is fully compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 peripherals such as keyboard, and mouse.

Q: Does FireNEX™-uLINK-10GEX support Power Delivery (USB PD) from host to device or device to host?

A: FireNEX™-uLINK-10G-EX supports USB PD for higher voltage charging (20V, 15V, 12V, 9V, 5V) either from host to device or from device to the host. It will automatically pick up the charging direction to suit your need.

Q: What’s the maximum cable length can be connected to the female end of the extension cable?

A: User can connect any USB-C compliant cable to the female end. It's usually no more than 1 meter.

Q: Can multiple FireNEX™-uLINK-10GEX daisy chain together?

A: Yes, user can max. daisy chain two FireNEX™-uLINK-10GEX cable to form a longer connection.
