New DTP3 CrossPoint Brings High Performance to Modern Meeting Spaces

Now available, the Extron DTP3 CrossPoint 42 is a compact 4x2 4K/60 matrix switcher featuring USB-C® and HDMI inputs, HDMI outputs, and a DTP3 output for extending video, audio, and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable.

Integration-friendly features, such as 60 watt USB-C charging and audio de-embedding simplify designs and streamline installation by reducing equipment needs. Extron-exclusive Vector™ 4K scaling delivers pristine image quality, seamless transition effects, and logo keying. These features and more make the DTP3 CrossPoint 42 ideal for meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, training rooms, and other professional AV presentation venues.

Coming in June 2026, the additional DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB model adds extensive USB data capabilities to support UC collaboration environments. Up to three USB 10Gbps hosts may be switched to share devices connected to the local 4-port USB hub, which features two USB 10Gbps and two High-Speed connections. The switcher can also access remote USB devices connected to a DTP3 R 331 receiver. This enables cameras, microphones, mice, and keyboards installed in the room to be available to any connected USB host.

DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB supports the full functionalities of USB-C connections, enabling transmission of video and audio via DisplayPort alt-mode, data up to USB 10Gbps, and 100 watt power delivery over a single cable.

DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB supports BYOM - Bring Your Own Meeting spaces where installed USB equipment such as cameras and microphones can be accessed by portable laptops brought by the users. It integrates USB switching with traditional AV switching and extension, enabling the room to seamlessly switch between multiple laptops or computer sources while also providing access to USB-connected equipment. BYOM spaces are more convenient for users, less expensive to set up and maintain, and offer more flexibility. They also serve a dual function and operate as traditional presentation spaces when users want to present content locally and don’t need to run a UC meeting. BYOM spaces feature powerful and effective local and remote collaboration capabilities for today’s meeting and collaboration rooms.
