How am I able to avoid paying VAT on my purchases?

All purchases will include VAT unless the customer registers an account and provides us with their VAT details.

How do I enter my VAT Registration Number?

You can enter your VAT registration number when you register your Account.

We'll need the legal name and registered address that corresponds to the VAT registration number entered in your Account. You can only upload one VAT registration number per EU country. If you submit more than one VAT registration number, please make sure that you select the VAT registration number valid for the country of delivery.

If you're VAT registered in Italy or Spain, your VAT registration number might not be activated for intra-Community (EU cross-border) supplies of goods. All non-activated intra-community VAT registration numbers will fail our validation check. If you enter a Spanish or Italian VAT registration number you should indicate if your VAT registration number is "local". In such cases we will require you to provide a copy of your VAT certificate or "Comunicazione unica di inizio attivitá" or "Visura camerale" if you are registered in Italy.

We'll let you know by e-mail if there's a problem with the number you provided.

What is the process for validating my VAT Registration Number?

After you have registered your VAT number in your Account, our system will begin the validation process that normally takes between 1 and 4 days.

Customers in Italy or Spain who are having problems with the validation of their VAT Registration numbers, please see the information specific to your countries on our About Entering Your VAT Registration Number(s) Section in our Terms and Conditions Page.

Once you've submitted your VAT registration number we'll verify it. The time this takes can vary but we'll try to complete it within four business days. Until it's been validated, the status of your number will remain "Pending". Once confirmed, you can start using your VAT registration number for making purchases. We'll let you know by e-mail of each change in the status.

Any open orders in your basket will have your VAT registration number applied to each applicable transaction. It's your responsibility to only use your VAT registration number for purchases related to the business associated with the number submitted to www.itm-components.co.uk.

If your VAT registration number fails the validation check, we'll let you know by e-mail if there's a problem. Please contact Customer Services for further information if this happens.

Occasionally, demand for certain products can lead to them being temporarily 'out of stock'. However, if you still want this item and don't mind waiting we are happy to accept orders and dispatch it once stock becomes available.
