The ETH-01 is embedded with the Lantronix Xport to handle the network connectivity. It is a serial RS-422/RS-485 to Ethernet converter. This unit is an easy solution for web-enabling any serial device. The end user can monitor, configure, and even troubleshoot with ease from a local network or from the web. It has compatible network interface speeds of 10Base-T or 100Base-TX with auto sensing. Password protection and data encryption are selectable features available to add extra security. This product accepts a wide range of input power to make the integration process simpler. The unit also has two bi-color LEDs that provide information about the LINK speed and the serial ACTIVITY. The LED on the left side of the RJ-45 connector indicates the speed. When it is off there is no link, when it is amber it is at 10Mbps, and when it is green it is at 100Mbps. The LED on the right hand side of the RJ-45 connector indicates serial activity. When it is off there is no activity, when it is amber it is working in half-duplex mode, and when green it is in full-duplex mode.
