The XTP II CP Fiber 8K Input and Output Boards enable long-haul extension of 8K video with embedded audio, RS?232, and 1 Gbps Ethernet. These HDCP 2.3 compliant boards support video signals up to 8K/60 over two fiber optic cables. The XTP II CP 4i F 8K input board features selectable XTP fiber and HDMI inputs for design flexibility. The XTP II CP 4o SF 8K output board features scaled XTP fiber and unscaled local HDMI outputs. Ethernet extension and insertion of bidirectional RS?232 allow LAN access and remote AV device control. These boards support signal extension up to 400 meters (1,312 feet) over OM4 multimode cable and up to 10 km (6.21 miles) with singlemode cable. XTP II 8K Fiber I/O boards are the ideal solution for XTP Systems that require secure, long-distance transmission of high data rate sources between remote locations.
The XTP II CP 4i F 8K input board offers four selectable fiber or HDMI inputs to accommodate remote sources or local HDMI connections within the equipment rack. The XTP II CP 4o SF 8K scaling output board features four scaled fiber outputs with simultaneous unscaled local HDMI ports. Each fiber input and output port supports 1 Gbps Ethernet extension that allows for convenient transmission of 10/100/1000 Base-T communication over the same fiber optic cable. Ethernet extension is disabled when video data rates exceed 32 Gbps.
For audio signals, the XTP II CP 4i F 8K input board provides extensive audio management with the capability to independently route stereo audio from an XTP II FT 401 8K transmitter to one or more compatible matrix switcher outputs. The input board can also de?embed two?channel PCM audio from digital signals for separate analog stereo audio signal routing. Incoming signals can be switched to an XTP output board for local or remote signal distribution.
Exclusive Vector 4K Scaling Technology
The XTP II CP 4o SF 8K output board provides four independently scaled fiber outputs, each capable of scaling incoming computer and video resolutions from 640x480 up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 color sampling. For optimal image quality, the XTP II CP 4o SF 8K output board incorporates the Extron Vector 4K scaling engine that is specifically designed with best?in?class image upscaling and downscaling. Each fiber output delivers sharp, accurate scaling of computer and video signals up to 4K, as well as downscaling of 4K source signals for lower resolution displays without losing critical image detail. Selectable FILL and FOLLOW modes are available to ensure the proper aspect ratio of the output. The mirrored HDMI outputs are not scaled. For signals above 4K/60, scaler bypass mode can be enabled to pass the original incoming signal.
Multimode and Singlemode Models Available
The XTP II CP Fiber 8K I/O boards provide industry standard LC-type connectivity and are available in two formats: multimode and singlemode. Extension over OM4 multimode fiber optic cable has moderate-range transmission distances of up to 400 meters (1,312 feet) and is typical within office towers, retail centers, and larger houses of worship. Extension over singlemode cable offers much longer transmission capabilities of up to 10 km (6.21 miles). It is used in large facilities, including digital signage, staging applications, and connecting over very long distances between locations such as corporate and university campuses. Because transmission of content is inherently secure and immune to outside interference, fiber applications are also favored in government, military, medical, and other sensitive environments.
Extron XTP Systems
Extron XTP Systems provide a completely integrated switching and distribution solution for multiple digital and analog formats. They support local connectivity as well as extended transmission capability for sending high resolution video, audio, RS?232, and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CATx cable and up to 10 km (6.21 miles) over fiber optic cable. Each system is HDCP compliant and delivers ultra-fast, highly reliable digital switching with Extron's SpeedSwitch Technology.
At the heart of a system is an XTP II CrossPoint matrix switcher. The modular matrix switchers are expandable from 4x4 to 64x64, depending on frame size, and can be populated with a wide variety of XTP I/O matrix boards. Input and output boards provide direct HDMI, 12G-SDI, and audio connections to local sources and displays, and signal extension to remote endpoints when using XTP transmitters and receivers. The matrix switcher can also provide power to a remote XTP device over CATx cabling, depending on the transmitter model.
The online XTP System Builder gives convenient access for complete system design. The tool also features a printable bill of materials, pricing, and quote submittal. Once the order is confirmed and received, the included XTP System Configuration Software enables easy setup and configuration right out of the box.
To configure, operate, and monitor the system in real time, user-friendly control software offers a complete view of all XTP devices from a computer. With hot-swappable modular components, a wide selection of XTP transmitters and receivers, and advanced 24/7 system monitoring, XTP Systems are designed to provide continuous, trouble-free operation in the most critical applications.
