The Extron DTP3 CrossPoint 642 is a configurable matrix switcher with HDMI and DTP3 inputs and outputs, audio DSP with AEC, a power amplifier, and a control processor. It provides complete system integration for AV systems in a 2U enclosure, supporting AV applications with multiple displays, sound reinforcement, and system control. The DTP3 ports extend video, audio, and RS?232 up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. Two reversible DTP3 ports allow matrix sizes from 6x6 to 8x4. All inputs and outputs support resolutions up to 4K/60 4:4:4, with all outputs driven by Extron Vector™ 4K scaling technology to provide seamless switching and logo keying. The Extron ProDSP™ audio digital signal processor built into the DTP3 CrossPoint 642 can connect to a Dante® network and a second Extron DSP for I/O expansion.

The DTP3 CrossPoint 642 delivers all of the core functionality of a conventional AV system, in a single enclosure that can be configured to meet an array of environments. It replaces more than ten separate components. In addition to saving space in a rack, this DTP3 CrossPoint® model makes it easy to standardize on a common system design throughout a facility, and to adapt it to many different environments. This full-featured presentation matrix switcher is highly versatile and is ideal for content delivery to multiple displays, such as in public venues, corporate spaces, and instructional multi-purpose and divisible rooms.

Integrated Matrix Switcher with Exclusive Vector 4K Scaling

Supporting 4K/60 at 4:4:4 color sampling, the DTP3 CrossPoint 642 streamlines integration with computers, media players, cameras, and displays at native resolutions up to 4K. For optimal picture quality, the matrix switcher incorporates the Extron Vector 4K scaling engine that is specifically designed with best?in?class image upscaling and downscaling. All outputs deliver sharp, accurate scaling of computer and high definition signals up to 4K, as well as downscaling of 4K source signals for lower resolution displays without losing critical image detail.

For professional, glitch-free transitions between sources, it offers a range of switching effects on all scaled video outputs. These include a freeze/fade transition that fades out a final frozen frame of the previous input source as the newly selected source fades in, a cut through black transition, and a fade through black transition. In addition, the DTP3 CrossPoint 642 provides the capability to insert a custom graphic logo, such as a company logo, into any presentation.

Reversible Input/Output Ports for Maximum Design Flexibility

Two of the I/O ports can function as inputs or outputs, allowing matrix configurations from 6x6 to 8x4. The combination of the reversible DTP3 I/O ports and matrix switching between the inputs and outputs enable a wide range of design possibilities to meet the audio and video requirements of boardrooms, lecture halls, exhibits, live events and other applications with multiple displays. Flexible signal routing and reliable digital video switching with the DTP3 CrossPoint 642 facilitates support for multiple applications in one installation, and provides unique flexibility to reconfigure system capabilities as system requirements evolve over time.
